i love this pendant light! i want one for my dinning area. the iq light was first designed in 1972 by designer holger strom. i found this one on ebay. the seller includes a free ikea light kit.

we are using a pace system for homeschooling this year. my husband and his brothers used this program 5th grade thru highschool. My son Charlie, fixing to be 5, is starting with a 12 week reading program and then he will start the first grade. cosette, 8, will be starting on grade level with grade 3. i tested her and she measured at 4th grade, but we don't want her to miss anything. since this curriculum may be a permanent switch for us, we decided to just keep her on grade level instead of skipping third. we were using another program, but we didn't have as big a budget for schooling this year. i'm looking forward to a new year. the ymca is offering a homeschool PE class on wednesdays for $25/month per family. the kids can't wait!

"...The pendants are beautiful. Everyone loved them. Even the little girls wanted one. Maybe later on. They really turned out well and I appreciate all your hard work. "

kids have been at vbs (vacation bible school) this week. they leave at around 8 in the morning on the church bus and don't get back home till after 1 p.m. its been a welcomed break. its given me a chance to get the house clean and plan this next school year. they even come home fed. yay for bible school!

Saturday

a death in the family.

my camera is broken. my lens will not extend when i turn it on and the motor makes a funny running noise trying to get it out. i get a lens error message and from what i found online, the gears in the motor have probably let go. with no money for a new one...i won't be taking photos for awhile. it was only a 4mpx, now obsolete kodak easyshare c330. though i needed to upgrade, financially its not the time to go camera shopping. the agony of being without a camera...anyone have a spare to loan?

beauty everyday.

our hibiscus are in bloom as well as some pink crape myrtle. so pretty...flowers help make life more beautiful. and then there are mocking birds. so noisy and mean. they are around the house and bombard us when we get to close to where they have nested. our beagle is afraid of them...kinda funny to see her run away in fear of them. i want to be like a flower and not a mocking bird...beautiful to be around.
